The authority to send samples abroad for testing purposes is granted only to licensed “Genetic Disease Evaluation Centers,” and according to the regulations, human-derived biological samples sent abroad for testing must be recorded in the Ministry’s tracking system.

As stated in Article 25, paragraph (2) of the Genetic Disease Evaluation Centers Regulation: “The authority to send samples abroad for testing purposes belongs solely to the licensed Center. Human-derived biological samples sent abroad for testing under this Regulation must be recorded in the Ministry’s tracking system.” Therefore, international biological material transfers must be carried out through a laboratory registered in the system using the software prepared by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health.
