Molecular Genetics
Molecular genetics involves the study of biological processes that occur at the level of our hereditary material, Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) and Ribonucleic Acid (RNA). These studies identify changes in the nucleotide sequences of DNA and RNA, enabling the diagnosis of many diseases.
With advancing technology, disease-specific genes can now be analyzed individually or through multi-gene panels, allowing for more comprehensive and precise genetic testing.
